With every quote, we tell you the estimated import duty rate (%) for each product in your country.
Import duties are set by the customs office in your country, not by us. They are usually calculated like this:
Customs value × duty rate for the product + VAT / consumption tax
- Product code (HS code): each product type has a code with its own duty rate. We put the code and value on the commercial invoice.
- Customs value: many countries (for example Japan and the EU) use the product price plus shipping and insurance.
- Free trade agreements: with a Korean certificate of origin, duties may be reduced or zero (for example RCEP for Japan, Korea–EU FTA, Korea–UK FTA). We can prepare it.
- Small parcels: duty-free limits differ by country and have changed recently.
- Payment: with courier delivery, the courier usually collects duties and taxes from you on arrival.
This is general information. Please check with your customs broker or forwarder for final rates.
